Serious and organised crime division detectives have charged the 54-year-old Gingin man and two other men as part of an investigation into the importation and supply of illegal drugs into Western Australia.

WA Police said on February 22 the man was arrested by officers after the truck was intercepted near Gingin.

A search warrant was executed on the truck and police allege about 11kg of methylamphetamine was located.

Police allege a subsequent search of the man’s property located a further 7.5kg of methylamphetamine and about $50,000 dollars in cash.

On February 25 police arrested a 28-year-old man and a 26-year-old man after search warrants were executed at properties in Noranda and Morley.

Police allege about $1.7 million dollars in cash was located inside a vehicle parked at the property in Noranda and another $348,000 was located inside the property in Morley.

A 28-year-old Koondoola man was charged with one count of attempting to possess prohibited drugs with intent to sell or supply and one count of laundering property/money from proceeds of a major offence.
