Information sought on damaged Pinjar transmission tower

JOONDALUP detectives are appealing for information after a Western Power transmission tower in Pinjar was significantly damaged on the afternoon of Thursday, April 20.

WA Police said at an unknown time, unknown person(s) have tampered with the structural integrity of the tower causing it to fall to the ground.

A police spokesman said the incident caused a temporary power supply interruption to a small number of industrial customers.

The damage was reported to police by Western Power.

Detectives believe the person(s) involved may have been dressed as workers/technicians, so as not to draw attention to themselves.

Anyone who observed any vehicles or individuals in the vicinity of Buloke Rd and Wandoo Rd, on Skink Rd, between April 1 and April 20 is asked to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or report online
