Two Butler men in court after assault in Jindalee

TWO Butler men are due in Perth Magistrates Court today after an alleged assault in Jindalee yesterday Friday, August 2.

WA Police said a 21-year-old man and a 22-year-old man, who were taken into custody at a Butler residence yesterday afternoon, have been charged with intent to harm, did an act causing bodily harm.

A police spokesman said about 3.15am yesterday a man in his 70s was walking through a restaurant carpark on Cockleshell Brace when he was approached by two males unknown to him.

Subsequently, the unknown males pushed the victim to the ground and kicked him several times before leaving the scene in a silver sedan.

The spokesman said the victim received serious injuries and was taken to Royal Perth Hospital by St John WA.
