West Perth take on West Coast in WAFL game in Yanchep

West Perth’s Blake Wilhelm reached 100 games last weekend.

WEST Perth has a home game against West Coast WAFL at Splendid Park tomorrow.

Both teams are coming off losses in round one.

The Falcons had a 21-point loss to South Fremantle last weekend while Perth beat West Coast by 13 points.

In their past three meetings West Coast have won twice so no doubt West Perth will be out to improve their record.

Last weekend West Perth celebrated Blake Wilhelm’s 100th game.

Wilhelm is part of the team’s leadership group.

In his first two WAFL seasons, coach Geoff Valentine has led the Falcons to two finals series campaigns, including a preliminary final in 2020.

City of Wanneroo Mayor Tracey Roberts said it was exciting to be hosting the first WAFL match at Splendid Park.

“As the vice-patron of West Perth Football Club, but also a staunch West Coast fan, my loyalties may be somewhat divided on the day, but the real winner will be regional football, with many junior and community footballers able to get close to the action,” she said.
