Witnesses to Indian Ocean Dr crash sought

On Sunday a Royal Perth Hospital spokesman said a man injured in the crash on Indian Ocean Dr on Thursday was in a stable condition.

MAJOR crash investigators are still seeking witnesses to a crash on Indian Ocean Dr in Yanchep on Thursday, May 23.

The driver of one vehicle involved in the crash was taken to Royal Perth Hospital with head injuries.

On Sunday a Royal Perth Hospital spokesman said the man was in a stable condition.

A WA Police spokesman said about 12.45pm a black Lexus sedan was travelling north on Indian Ocean Dr om May 23 when it collided head-on with a purple Ford Falcon that was travelling south.

The driver of the Lexus, a man aged in his 50s, was conveyed to Royal Perth Hospital while the driver of the Falcon, also aged in his 50s was conveyed to Joondalup Health Campus as a precaution but was later discharged.

The accident resulted in Indian Ocean Dr being closed from the Yanchep Beach Rd intersection and the Breakwater Dr for some hours on Thursday afternoon.

Investigators would like to speak to anyone who saw the crash or either of the vehicles prior to the crash.
