AN Alkimos man has been charged by child abuse squad detectives after an investigation into alleged historical child sexual abuse incidents.
WA Police said it will be alleged that between 2014 and 2016, the man who was 20-years-old at the time of the first offence, sexually assaulted a 13-year-old boy.
The man allegedly befriended the victim through an online chat forum.
The 26-year-old Alkimos man has been charged with six counts of sexual penetration of a child of or over 13 and under 16 years and five counts of indecently dealing with a child of or over 13 and under 16 years.
He has also been charged with one count of attempted sexual penetration of a child of or over 13 under 16 years, one count of procure a child of or over 13 and under 16 years to do an indecent act and one count of persistent sexual contact with a child under 16 years.
He is due to appear before the Joondalup Magistrates Court on Monday, July 13.
