A BUSHFIRE watch and act is in place for the area bounded by Old Yanchep Rd to the north, Hopkins Rd to the east, McLennan Dr to the south and Karoborup Rd and the area between Carabooda Rd and Bailey Rd, including Safari Pl to the west.
This also includes people on or near Landsdale Strawberry Farm, Carabooda Rd and Cutler Rd and surrounds in parts of Nowergup and Carabooda in the city of Wanneroo.
At 8.40pm the Department of Fire and Emergency Services (DFES) updated an earlier alert due to changes in the direction of the bushfire and road closures.
The latest alert does not include a watch and act for Yanchep.
The bushfire is moving in a westerly direction and is not contained or controlled.
Old Yanchep Rd between Wesco Rd to the south and Cutler Rd to the north is closed.
Carabooda Rd is also closed.
