YANCHEP Medical Centre is running Saturday immunisation clinics for about the next six weeks as well as clinics during the week to get as many people as possible in the area vaccinated against Covid-19.

On Saturday 160 people were vaccinated against Covid-19 at the medical centre, which started using AstraZeneca in April and now has about 80 per cent of its patients aged over 60 vaccinated.

Since Tuesday, July 20 the medical centre has been able to also provide Pfizer vaccinations – in the first week it has almost used its complete fortnightly allocation.

By tomorrow Wednesday, July 28 the medical centre expects to have completed 300 Pfizer vaccinations.

Fortnightly deliveries have ensured that supply so far has not been an issue.

People can either book online via hot doc or phone the clinic on 9562 8100.

If people are uncertain of their eligibility, they can go to Vaccines Eligibility Checker (healthdirect.gov.au) and check if they are eligible.
