LIFELINE WA is holding a domestic violence awareness workshop in Yanchep on Friday, April 14 at Y.hub Coworking.

DV-alert is led by experienced trainers dedicated to reducing violence against women and children.

The 2hr DV-aware workshop provides a safe space to learn, connect and be empowered to recognise and respond confidently to those in crisis.

The free workshop will help attendants to identify the different signs and forms of abuse that constitute domestic and family violence as well as learn about the cycle of violence and the power and control wheel (The Duluth Model).

Workshop attendants will also be able to reflect on and share what they can do if they know someone who is experiencing domestic and family violence, network with other individuals and receive tools and references for domestic and family violence support and referral.

The workshop is for anyone living in Australia who is at least 18-years-old.

It is also suitable for organisations.

DV-alert training is funded by the Australian Government Department of Social Services.

The workshop runs from 10am to noon at Y.hub Coworking office 1/128 Yanchep Beach Rd, Yanchep.
