Principal, Christopher ‘Chris’ Cole was admitted to the Supreme Court of Western Australia in 2011 and practises in many fields of law, including serious criminal matters, civil and family law matters, and is a familiar face on all of the Court circuits, including District Court, Magistrates Court, Family Court and State Administrative Tribunal.
Chris has a diverse background, serving 7 years in the Royal Australian Air Force as a life support technician, to being a tradie roofer, a live-in carer for people with autism, and a foster carer for the Department for Child Protection.
Ekaterina ‘Katya’ Jance joined Chris in 2018, following her admission to the Supreme Court of Western Australia in 2016.
Katya specialises primarily in criminal law, traffic law, extraordinary driver’s license applications, restraining order matters and employment law.
Katya’s upfront and honesty with her clients and colleagues, together with her irrefutable high standards in her Court preparations and work ethics, set her up for ensuring the very best outcome for her clients.
While Katya originates from Russia, she is also fluent in English, and is knowledgeable in Polish language, should you wish to speak in your native tongue.
Francesco ‘Frank’ La Cava was admitted to the Supreme Court of Western Australia in 2010, and is experienced in many areas of law, including Criminal, Family and Restraining Orders, Traffic Law and Civil matters.
Frank has provided legal representation to clients in both the public and private legal sectors, including involvement in establishing one of the local Community Legal Centres.
Over the years, Frank has been instrumental and enjoyed working with the Youth Legal Centre, specialising in Children’s Court matters.
Frank joined the team at Moana Chambers Barristers & Solicitors in August, 2020.
As his name indicates, Frank is of Italian descent, and is fluent in the Italian language.
Running parallel with Frank’s legal career, he is also a well renowned Professional Musician and Music Director, and has had the pleasure of working with many local, national and international artists, and has directed numerous productions including ‘We Will Rock You’, ‘Jesus Christ Superstar’, ‘Cats – The Musical’, ‘Legally Blonde’, ‘Grease – The Musical’, ‘Girls Gone Rockin’, and the ‘Australian Karen Carpenter Show.
Michelle Corbett is the Practice Manager, joining Chris and Katya in February, 2020.
Prior to moving to Perth in January, 2009, she finished her career in the UK, managing a secretarial team at a leading national firm of Chartered Surveyors.
She quickly established herself into the heart of Joondalup and Wanneroo local small business sector, working with the Small Business Centre NWM, Joondalup Business Association and alongside the local government authorities.
In 2012, Michelle embraced a new challenge in legal management, and together with Chris and Frank, helped establish and grow a fledgling law practice in Joondalup.
