Money for community group projects

The 2019-20 Budget includes money for Halesworth Park in Butler, the skate park at Splendid Park in Yanchep and Neerabup Industrial Area.

COMMUNITY groups in Butler and Yanchep will receive a funding boost for their projects from the City of Wanneroo’s community funding program.

One Church Perth will receive $6000 for the 2019 Wanneroo Christmas Lunch to be held on December 25 at the Irene McCormack Catholic College, Butler.

The Yanchep Two Rocks Community Recreation Association will get $2976 to help it present Carols in the Park on Saturday, December 7 at Charnwood Park, Two Rocks.

True North Church is to get $3000 for Carols on the Green on December 14 and 15 at True North Church, Merriwa.

Family Support WA will receive $4000 for Festival at the Farm on December 14 at Landsdale Farm and the Wanneroo Sports & Social Club will get $3305 for the Wanneroo Children’s Community Christmas Function on 14 December 14.

Applications for the program are open twice a year, in March and October.

City of Wanneroo Mayor Tracey Roberts said it was a great way for community groups, organisations and clubs to receive financial assistance for their upcoming activities.

“This round the city is providing almost $33,000 to 10 community organisations and groups,” she said.
