The proposed development will have street frontages to Peony Blvd to the north and Kakadu Rd to the east and Morwell St to the south.

PUBLIC comment on a proposed $12 million development in the Yanchep Village Shopping Centre precinct closes on Thursday, July 10.

Once public comment has closed for the Bulky goods showrooms and fastfood outlet for Lot 56 (2) Peony Blvd, Yanchep the proposal will go to the Metro Outer development assessment panel for approval.

The proposal includes nine bulky goods showrooms ranging in floor area from 335sqm to 996sqm, a service yard and bin store to the eastern side of the lot adjacent to Kakadu Rd, one drive through fast food outlet, 112 parking bays including eight ACROD bays and associated signage and landscaping.

The covering letter dated April 29 says the development will have street frontages to Peony Blvd to the north and Kakadu Rd to the east and Morwell St to the south.

“The lot is subject to a number of limitations, interests, encumbrances and notifications,’’ the covering letter says.

“Most are not relevant to the area the subject of this development application other than the easement benefit to the City of Wanneroo and the public over the laneway (Tamala Lane) along the western boundary of Lot 56.

“The proposed development does not impact the easement, other than using it for access.

The Western Australian Planning Commission (WAPC) has approved the subdivision of Lot 56 to create two lots, being the northern portion containing the Coles Supermarket and speciality shops (Lot 56) and the southern portion being the development proposed by this application (proposed Lot 700).

“The WAPC approval is subject to an easement in relation to car parking and access.’’
