THIS afternoon the Department of Fire and Emergency Services said at 8.18pm last night they received a triple zero call about a fire near the Sun City Country Club golf course in Yanchep.
Four appliances from Yanchep Volunteer Fire and Rescue Service attended along with some Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions (DBCA) personnel.
On Sunday afternoon a DBCA spokesman said the call out on Saturday night was a false alarm.
Yanchep News Online asked if there had been any prescribed burns near the Yanchep National Park recently but he said DBCA had not carried out a prescribed burn in the Yanchep area since May 22.
Earlier on Saturday Yanchep News Online reported that a fire near Breakwater Dr and Mayflower Dr appeared to have been a false alarm.
