Teen charged after Eglinton incident

YANCHEP Police are continuing to investigate an incident that happened in a park in Eglinton on Tuesday, December 2.

WA Police said about 3.45pm, a 12-year-old male victim was with friends at the Cinnabar Park flying fox playground on Cinnabar Dr.

A police spokeswoman said the group had placed their bags into a pile and were playing nearby.

“An unknown male on an e-bike allegedly approached the bags and began rummaging through them,’’ she said.

“One of the group members approached and confronted the male who rode away, but later allegedly returned and threatened the victim with a knife.

A 15-year-old Joondalup boy from Joondalup has been charged with no authority to drive (never held), using an unlicensed vehicle on a road and criminal damage or destruction of property.

He is due to appear before the Joondalup Magistrates Court on Tuesday,  December 23.
