Velocity internet issues continue for some Yanchep residents

SOME Capricorn Beach residents are still having issues with their Velocity home internet with no answers yet from Telstra about what is the problem or when it will be fixed.

Customers first started having problems about August 13.

Telstra WA regional general manager Boyd Brown said there had been no impact to mobile services or to home telephones.

Mr Brown said they had been working to try and get the problem resolved, with technicians visiting customers and upgrades to hardware at the local exchange.

“We have resolved a number of these issues but there are still a few customers we are still in contact with and will continue working with them over coming weeks,’’ he said.

“We understand the frustrations of local communities when there is a loss of communication services and we again apologise to local residents for the inconvenience.’’

Any residents still experiencing Velocity issues should contact Telstra on 1800 008 994 to report a fault.
