THE Yanchep Netball Club opens team won their grand final by beating a side, which had not lost during the regular season.
On the day Yanchep 1 opens division 17 played the stronger game and with great sportsmanship beat the Steelers 37-34.
Altogether four Yanchep teams competed in the Wanneroo Districts Netball Association finals.
The U18 team had a great season and came up against a strong opponent in their grand final.
Yanchep 4 U18 division 7 finished runners-up after losing 55-28 to Everlast Flames 1.
After a strong season and finishing second on the ladder Yanchep 6 U13 division 7 were beaten 37-22 by Genesis 5 in their grand final.
The club’s other other U13 division 5 finished equal first on the ladder.
But Yanchep 5 division 5 were also up against an equally strong team in their grand final and even though it could have gone either way the Sorrento Saints 24 won 30-24.
