A BUSHFIRE watch and act – monitor conditions – is in place for people bounded by Yanchep Beach Rd, Marmion Ave, Brazier Rd and Flagtail Outlook in parts of Yanchep.
The bushfire is burning west of Marmion Ave in a west north westerly direction.
Burning embers are likely to be blown around your home.
There is a possible threat to lives and homes as a fire is burning in the area and conditions are changing.
Firefighters are actively fighting the fire and aerial support has been sent to assist ground crews.
The alert issued at 2.26pm said the Department of Fire and Emergency Services (DFES) was managing the bushfire, which was reported at 1.54pm.

What to do:

- You may need to act quickly so ensure you are prepared if the situation gets worse.
- Read through your plan. If you do not have a plan, make one now on Emergency WA or in the Emergency WA app.
- Have your emergency kit ready.
- If you are not prepared or you plan to leave, leave now if the way is clear.
- If you find it hard to move quickly, leaving now is your safest option.
- Keep your doors and windows closed to keep out smoke.
- Continue to patrol your property and be ready to put out spot fires.
- If you plan to stay and defend ensure you are mentally and physically prepared, with protective clothing and an independent water supply.
- Road closures and conditions:Some roads may be closed so motorists are asked to avoid the area, reduce speed and drive carefully.Road information may also be available from Main Roads WA by visiting the Main Roads Travel Map, calling 138 138 or by contacting your Local Government Authority.Drones and aerial support:
Never fly a drone, model aircraft or multirotor near bushfires. Doing so poses a major safety risk to firefighting personnel in the air and on the ground, and forces aircraft to be grounded or redirected, hindering firefighting efforts.
Animal welfare:
Owners or carers of livestock, pets and companion animals should activate their own animal welfare plan. During a bushfire take advice from Local Government Authorities to protect the lives of your animals while keeping yourself safe.
For more information on actions to take for each bushfire warning level, please see the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development website.
