FOR the first time the Yanchep Redhawks women’s team is playing on the club’s annual Pink Day, being held at Splendid Park today.
The women’s side were due to kick off against the Manning Rippers at 11.40am.
Later the men’s senior and reserve teams will compete against Bayswater sides.
Some club members have coloured their hair and some have agreed to be auctioned so people can shave off their colourful hair-dos.
All funds raised will go to the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
The foundation said every day nine Australians die from breast cancer, which affects women and men.
Pink Day festivities include guest speakers, platter table, raffles and more.
