TO help businesses, local governments and community groups get their message out to readers and customers Yanchep News Online offers animated leaderboard ads, an animated MREC ad and two other right hand side animated ads.

The ads link to an individual business, local government or community group’s website, Facebook page and can also link to a sponsored content on the Yanchep News Online website.

The sponsored content is similar to advertorial in a newspaper but with the benefit of the content also posted on the website’s Facebook page as well as being tweeted.

The pictures below show the different stages of an animated Australia Day breakfast ad for the Yanchep Two Rocks Community Recreation Association.

According to Nigel Roberts from Yell Creative a leaderboard is the first to load banner ad, at the top of the page, above the content. (https://yellcreative.com/everything-you-need-to-know-about-digital-advertising-formats/)

They are the first advertisement seen when a user visits a page and are a big, highly visible size.

They offer advertisers a great deal of space in a prominent position without intruding on content.

Yanchep News Online also includes the leaderboard ad at the bottom of every story (see the third picture below).

The examples below are of the different stages of an animated MREC ad for the 2021 Community Awareness Expo organised by the Yanchep Central Shopping Centre.

The MREC ad is a highly prominent ad unit that typically sees higher than average click through rates.

The MREC is normally located above the fold on the right side of the page.
