
THE Western Australian Electoral Commission has announced the successful candidates in the local government election for the Shire of Gingin.
Andrea Vis has been an Ocean Farm resident since August, 2001.
She has been a teacher at Gingin District High School since 2006.
Wayne Fewster, who has lived and worked in Gingin all his life, has 20-years experience as a shire councillor and also been shire president and deputy president.
He has also owned businesses and properties in the shire.
Linda Balcombe has been a Gingin resident for the past 21 years.
She is the board-community officer at the local community Bendigo Bank.
Frank Peczka has been a Lancelin resident for six years.
He is a small business owner, a volunteer bushfire member and volunteer fire and rescue member.
He has been in the local government industry previously.
Retired businesswoman Jan Court is a retired businesswoman, who serves on a number of committees including the state council where she is involved with waste management and health.
She is a member of the coastal erosion working group and is on the Gingin Medical Centre, Gingin Retirement Village and Ledge Point boat marina committees.
Forty per cent of the total 4323 electors voted in the Saturday, October 19 election.
