Dear Yanchep News Online,
The Road Safety Commission advertised the rules about eRideable safety in May 2023 (National Road Safety Week).
Here is a recap of those rules that will keep you, your children, the elderly and all members of our community safe.
Helmets are mandatory, 16+ minimum age, 10km/h speed on footpaths, 25 km/h on shared bike paths, shared paths and local roads, one person per device, lights and reflectors.
Additionally, I would suggest that all riders have a bell on their bikes.
A courtesy to let walkers know you are coming along.
Let’s make every eRide safe.
L Jackson
TRYRA secretary
