A NEW water main, which will allow development in the suburbs of Alkimos and Eglinton to continue has been completed.
In July the Water Minister Mia Davies said the Water Corporation had started work on the new 1.3km water main beside Marmion Ave.
Ms Davies said the new distribution main would be constructed within the road reserve along Marmion Ave between Shorehaven Boulevard and Cinnabar Dr.
She said the new $ 3.12 million water main would serve residents in the growing suburbs and were necessary for continued development in the area.
Water Corporation customers in the area are supplied with water through the integrated water supply scheme, which sources water from dams, groundwater and desalination.
