JENNIFER Hill of Yanchep and Suzanne Logue of Two Rocks are among the artists whose work is on display in the gallery at Mary Lindsay Homestead.

A Two Rocks Yanchep Culture and Arts Network (TRYCAN) member for five years Hill has her acrylic and watercolour painting A walk through the forest on display during their spring exhibition.

Hill who has been retired for 10 years said she had always wanted to paint and was inspired by her passion for nature and her dad who loved to draw.

Logue started to paint when her children finished high school.

Over the years her work developed from whimsical realistic to a stylised fantasy derived from nature.

She said Beach walk was still the same beach but with a different interpretation.

The TRYCAN spring exhibition opened on September 5 at the gallery housed in the Mary Lindsay Homestead, 100 Capricorn Esp, Yanchep.

TRYCAN is an incorporated body which aims to promote culture and the arts in the community.
