A BUSHFIRE advice is in place for people in an area bound by Timaru Rd, Brand Hwy and Airfield Rd in parts of Bambun, Muchea, Breera and Chittering in the shires of Chittering and Gingin.
At 2.24pm the Department of Fire and Emergency Services (DFES) issued an alert changing an earlier alert from a bushfire watch and act to a bushfire advice saying the bushfire was now contained but not controlled.
The bushfire was first reported at 12.24pm on November 10.
There is a lot of smoke on Brand Hwy.
The next update will be provided by 11am tomorrow unless the situation changes.
