THE City of Wanneroo has announced its 2025-26 series of free community events running from October to May, which includes Yanchep Sunset Sounds on Saturday, November 29.
There will be concerts, food trucks, fireworks, markets and more across parks, beaches and town centres.
A highlight will be Symphony Under the Stars in February, featuring a 70-piece orchestra and the winner of the Search for a Star singing competition
The city said the series aimed to celebrate local talent, community connection and provide free entertainment for families.
City of Wanneroo Mayor Linda Aitken said the events series was about more than
entertainment, with flow-on benefits for the whole community.
“These events turn our parks, beaches and town centres into lively festival spaces and
give people new ways to enjoy their neighbourhoods,” she said.
“They encourage people to get out, connect with others and experience their suburb
in a new light.
“Whether it’s enjoying a concert on the foreshore, watching fireworks
light up the night sky or wandering through a bustling market, there is something
special about sharing those moments with friends and neighbours.”
Mrs Aitken said the series also provided a valuable platform for local talent and
businesses.
