LANCELIN Police are reminding people to be careful when buying goods from online platforms such as Facebook Marketplace and local community groups – given a rise in incidents recently.
The Department of Mines, Industry Regulation and Safety (DMIRS) WA Scamnet was developed as one method of combating scams, rip-offs and fraud, which are becoming more common.
DMIRS is part of a national group aimed at tackling fraud and scams.
