BIGDAYONIT got blocked and held up last start so Gingin trainer Ashley Maley is looking for a much better result tomorrow at Belmont Park.

The five year-old gelding finished 11th in a field of 15 in the Provincial championship final (1400m) on May 25.

Tomorrow he has drawn barrier two in the Studco Handicap (1200m).

This afternoon Maley said Bigdayonit should have won last start.

“He was massively blocked for a run – another horse cut him off,’’ he said.

“Barrier two will be a big benefit (but) Twain’s Angel will be one of the biggest challenges for sure.

“But I can only go on my horse and he is going well.’’

Jockey Alan Kennedy is back in the saddle again this week.
