Neergabby burglars in court

WA Police have charged a Butler man with one count of aggravated armed robbery and three counts of armed robbery.

TWO 16-year-old boys were due in court on Friday, December 9 after a Neergabby home was burgled and a car stolen from the property.

WA Police said Kensington detectives had charged the two boys as a result of their inquiries into several incidents.

A police spokeswoman said police would allege that between 7.30pm on Wednesday, December 7 and 12.15am on Thursday, December 8 the youths stole car keys from a home in Neergabby before stealing a 2014 Holden Caprice and ramming it through the gates of the property.

“It will be further be alleged around 6am on Thursday, December 8 the youths went to a service station located on Edwards Dr, Merriwa,’’ she said.

“They put fuel in the stolen vehicle before staff terminated the pumps.

“The driver began driving away prior to the passenger getting inside the vehicle.

“The passenger was crushed against a bollard, injuring his arm.’’

Police will also allege about 9.45am the same day the youths were occupants of the stolen Holden Caprice as it was being driven in a reckless manner along Marchamley St in Carlisle.

The vehicle crashed into a brick letterbox wall and he youths fled on foot before being apprehended by police a short time later.

The two Kewdale boys were due to appear in the Perth Children’s Court on Friday, December 9.

One youth was charged with  two counts of stealing, two counts of a driver failing to stop after traffic crash, one count each of aggravated burglary and commit, stealing a motor vehicle and driving recklessly, no authority to drive, act or omission causing bodily harm, endangering the life, health or safety of any person, reckless Driving (inherently dangerous) and criminal damage.

The other youth was charged with two counts of stealing, one count each of aggravated burglary and commit, stealing a motor vehicle and
possessing a prohibited drug (cannabis).
